"I have degrees in science (BSc and PhD) and a Bachelor of theology as well. I am an ordained reader in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada. I am interested in the relationship between science and religion, particularly from an Orthodox perspective. I think that one of the failings of the Church has been the inability to "catechesize" the youth by which I mean to express the faith in language that is understanble by people living in today's world. There seems to be a genuine and wide-spread ignorance of the faith and this seems ironic since there seems to be a wealth of hidden" material in the writings of the Church Fathers and in in the teachings of the Church. It is unfortunate that this information is inaccessible to many. This area remains one which I would like to explore further and to share with others."
